The 5.2-mile improvement project on State Route 76 included widening a two-lane road to a divided four-lane highway and updating bridges over the San Luis Rey River. Civic CM provided CPM Scheduling services including Baseline development, schedule updates, and schedule managmeent services for the duration of the proejct. This $75M project was reconized by ENR as a top Highway/Bridge project in the Califonia and was completed 6 months ahead of schedule.
This $90M project realigned and widened the freeway by adding one mixed-flow and one high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lane in each direction. The scope of work also reconstructed a pedestrian overcrossing, a vehicle overcrossing, a vehicle undercrossing, two frontage roads, a number of adjacent local streets and intersections. Civic CM provided claims analysis and dispute resolution support services to aid in equitable settlements.
This project includes a new 5.79-mile modern streetcar system linking major districts around downtown Oklahoma City. The streetcar has 22 platform stops and runs on an embedded track (including one bridge) with an overhead catenary system powered by six traction power substations. The scope also includes utility, drainage, demolition, and necessary civil work. Civic CM provided schedule management support services and time impact evaluations throughout the project.
This construction contract includes a 2.2 mile extension, the center platform station, two new bridges, rebuilding a trestle, and interim improvements to the Bettini Transit Center in downtown San Rafael. Civic CM provided baseline development and cost-loading support services.
This project includes the renovation of six existing buildings including the multipurpose building expanded to feature a 1,600 SF music classroom with a movable partition to provide flexibility. A new 12,700 SF, two-story classroom building has nine classrooms for grades 6-8. Civic CM provided an independent third party assessment on disputed delays.
The project includes construction of a new blower building and related piping and equipment at the San Bernardino Water Reclamation plant. Construction includes ULE flare and related piping and equipment, digester gas holder, and related utility improvements. Civic CM provided independent schedule review and delay analysis support services.
This new facility includes a main shop, LRV car wash, cleaning platform, material storage building, a traction power substation (TPSS) site, two signal houses, paint/body shop, wheel truing shop, and a blow down facility. The 17.6-acre site and facility has the capacity to store 70 new light rail vehicles (LRVs). Civic CM provided independent schedule review and change management support services.
A critical element of the overall EchoWater Project, the nitrifying sidestream treatment (NST) facility, will assist Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District (Regional San) in meeting new federal and state permit effluent limits, particularly for ammonia discharges. Major Project Elements include; Influent diversion structure and influent pumping station, fine screening facility, sequencing batch reactors, equalization basin, aeration blowers, NST Effluent Pumping Station, Electrical Building, Lime Feed Facility, EWS, and Stormwater Pumping Stations.
Construction includes excavating a new emergency spillway, modifications to the existing service spillway, a 16-ft raise of the main dam and auxiliary dam, modifications to California State Route 155 at the main dam’s right abutment, and modifications at several recreation facilities north of the auxiliary dam. The essential features of the contract work include excavation of 2.95 million CY of earth and rock for a new emergency spillway; construction of a 28-ft-tall, 56,000 CY structural concrete Labyrinth Weir; buttressing and raising the existing dam structures by 16 ft; improvement and enhancements of the dam foundation; processing and placement of more than 2.3 million CY of zoned fill embankment; modifications to CA State Route 155 to accommodate the increased dam height; and site work and improvements to several adjacent recreational facilities and roadways.
The Caribe Hilton Restoration Project was a $150M restoration of the iconic resort, located in San Juan, Puerto Rico, after the devastating destruction caused by Hurricane Maria in 2017. The project included restoring the entire 65,000 SF property to its pre-hurricane state as well as implementing various owner upgrades. Work included site stabilization, temporary repairs, demolition/removal/disposal of all damaged building materials, reconstruction of the 652 room interior, 11 restaurants and beverage areas, and the spa and fitness center. Also included was rehabilitation of surrounding landscaping and associated site work.
Civic CM provided advisory services and CPM scheduling management for the entire project.
This 1,000-room key hotel includes a 500,000 SF casino floor expansion, new swimming pools, parking garage, and additional entertainment, food and beverage facilities. Civic CM provided schedule management support services during construction.
The Denny Network Phase 1 & 2 was a $45M utility project that included installation of civil infrastructure with 29 vaults, three hot vaults, and over 17,000 LF of duct bank as part of an underground distribution network located in downtown Seattle, WA. The project comprised of associated improvements including select utility relocations, sidewalk reconstruction, pavement, and channelization restoration. The project required significant coordination with local agencies for permitting, road closures, and traffic control.

Mike is adept at contract management, reviewing contracts and project documents for compliance, and collaborating with project teams. During his military career, Mike spent many years in the United States Navy where he operated and repaired nuclear reactors for warships.
