In my past company experiences, I only received a call from upper management when there was something they needed from me. Not here. At Civic CM, I receive a call from upper management every 1-2 months to see how things are going and if there is anything I need. It shows me that upper management cares about me as a person, not just an employee.

One of the things I appreciate most about Civic CM is the leadership’s willingness to solicit ideas and suggestions from the team. It is clear that the principals and directors are not only willing to listen but also engage in a conversation about how to improve employee’s lives and improve work product in an impactful way.

Leaving the military can be somewhat intimidating given the fact that you’re leaving a “brotherhood”, more or less, and entering a corporate world that doesn’t always have your best interests at heart; this can even be the case with future co-workers as well. I, along with many other military veterans have a difficult time finding that “team” feeling with coworkers let alone a company. Since being a part of Civic, I’ve felt that cohesion that most veterans like myself long for once they’ve separated. Both the company and the employees build each other up, hold each other accountable and encourage growth rather than stifle it.

Civic CM has a culture that is unlike any other company where I’ve held a position in the past. From day one, it is clear that there is a strong sense of camaraderie among colleagues and a deep-rooted community that stretches companywide. There is not a single day that I leave the office without a smile on my face because of my coworkers and the environment we’ve cultivated as a team.
